Their opponents, Durban Heat, is yet to win a match in MSL 2019 so far.

With time running out for the Durban franchise, this is more or less, a must win game for them. Cape Town Blitz is the stronger side on paper with a very well balanced unit in its midst. Playing XI Updates:

Cape Town Blitz:

Anrich Nortje could come into the side for this game after being left out in the previous game. Vernon Philander is most likely to make way for the express paceman for this game. The rest of the side picks itself with Mohammad Nawaz adding stability with both and ball. Quinton de Kock and Janneman Malan are critical to their success at the top of the order with big hitters, Asif Ali and Liam Livingstone ready to cut loose upon the opposition. Wahab Riaz and Dale Steyn have been consistent this season and will be a genuine threat to the likes of Alex Hales and Dane Vilas.

Possible XI: De Kock(C&WK), Malan, Livingstone, Ackerman, Nawaz, Asif, Wahab, Steyn, Philander/Nortje, Magala and Mahlokwana

Durban Heat:

Durban Heat shouldn't be making many changes to their side after a close loss to Nelson Mandela Bay Giants. Although Wiaan Lubbe and Dane Vilas haven't been firing, they will expect their middle order to provide the goods once again. They have a decent bowling attack consisting of Kyle Abbott and Andile Phehlukwayo, who has been firing as well. Alex Hales is one to watch out for in this must win game for the Durban Heat.

Possible XI: Marshall, Hales, Lubbe, Vilas(C&WK), Miller, Bopara, Phehlukwayo, Abbott, Maharaj, Subrayen and Siboto.

Pitch Report:

A good batting track awaits the two sides with 170+ scores being a common sight at the venue. The pacers will enjoy conditions here with extra pace and bounce on offer for them. Chasing will be preferred by either side upon winning the toss with valuable points there for the taking.

Fantasy Tips and Suggestions:

Wicket-keeper: Quinton de Kock is the preferred choice for this game with the South African International in good knick. Although he hasn't scored as many runs as he would liked, de Kock should score some runs on a good batting track. Dane Vilas is also a viable candidate and could be picked alongside de Kock as the second option.

Batsmen: Alex Hales is due for a big one this MSL with the Englishman bring a consistent performer in the T20 format. Along with Hales, the likes of Janneman Malan and Asif Ali are also viable candidates for this game. Wiaan Lubbe, who started his MSL campaign with a stunning fifty against the same opposition, could also be picked.

All-rounders: Ravi Bopara and Liam Livingstone have justified their inclusions as overseas stars with vital performances in the middle order. Both of them are must haves for this game with either of them capable of bowling an over or two as well. Andile Phehlukwayo's bad form could also be overlooked if one were to pick an extra all-rounder.

Bowlers: With Anrich Nortje's inclusion in the playing eleven being an uncertainty, both Wahab Riaz and Dale Steyn should be picked for this game. Along with the veteran duo, Kyle Abbott is also a viable option with his County experience bound to come in handy. One of Malusi Siboto or Keshav Maharaj should round the fantasy team for this game.

Captain: Quinton de Kock is the ideal candidate for captaincy with the south-paw long due for a big score in MSL. He hasn't scored a fifty in six games and should be able to break the pattern on Thursday. Along with him, Alex Hales and Ravi Bopara also fit the bill for the multiplier options for this game.

Fantasy Suggestion #1: Quinton de Kock, Alex Hales, Wiaan Lubbe, Janneman Malan, Andile Phehlukwayo, Ravi Bopara, Liam Livingstone, Keshav Maharaj, Kyle Abbott, Dale Steyn and Wahab Riaz. Captain: Quinton de Kock, Vice-Captain: Alex Hales.

Fantasy Suggestion #2: Dane Vilas, Quinton de Kock, Alex Hales, Asif Ali, Janneman Malan, Ravi Bopara, Liam Livingstone, Kyle Abbott, Malusi Siboto, Wahab Riaz and Dale Steyn. Captain: Quinton de Kock, Vice-Captain: Ravi Bopara.
