Ind vs NZ 3rd ODI: Dream11 Prediction, Playing XI Updates & Fantasy Cricket Tips - January 28th, 2019
After another comprehensive win over the Kiwis, the Indians walk into the Bay Oval on Monday with the chance of wrapping the series as they take on the hosts, New Zealand in the third ODI on Monday. After an all-round show from India saw them triumph with a heavy margin, the Kiwis will be looking to go all-out as they try and keep the series alive for at least another game.
With the Bay Oval already known to be suitable for stroke-makers, this ODI is sure to be as competitive as any with the series on the line for both nations.
Squads to choose from:
Kane Williamson (c), Trent Boult, Doug Bracewell, Colin de Grandhomme, Lockie Ferguson, Martin Guptill, Matt Henry, Tom Latham, Colin Munro, Henry Nicholls, Mitchell Santner, Ish Sodhi, Tim Southee and Ross Taylor
Virat Kohli (c), Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, Ambati Rayudu, Dinesh Karthik, Kedhar Jadhav, MS Dhoni (wk), Kuldeep Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal, Ravindra Jadeja, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Mohammed Siraj, Khaleel Ahmed, Hardik Pandya, Mohammed Shami, Vijay Shankar and Shubman Gill
Playing XI Updates:
Another batting fiasco leaves New Zealand devastated with just two ODIs done and dusted. While the batting unit needs to spend more time before going on the aggressive, their bowlers have struggled to pick wickets in the middle overs. Mitchell Santner should come in for Colin de Grandhomme after a no-show from the RCB all-rounder while Tim Southee should sit this one out as well.
Possible XI: Munro, Guptill, Williamson (C), Taylor, Latham(WK), Nicholls, Santner, Bracewell, Sodhi, Ferguson and Boult.
Hardik Pandya was recalled to the Indian side after his ban was lifted, he could make his international return on Monday at the expense of Vijay Shankar. The rest of team picks itself with Rayudu also scoring a forty in the previous match. The team is fairly settled with Dhoni and Jadhav doing well in the death as well signaling not many changes for the match on Monday.
Possible XI: Rohit, Dhawan, Kohli(C), Rayudu, Dhoni(WK), Jadhav, Pandya/Shankar, Bhuvi, Kuldeep, Shami and Chahal.
Fantasy Tips and Suggestions:
Wicket-keeper: MS Dhoni has been in fine form with three fifties and forty in his last four outings for Team India. He should be the preferred wicket-keeper although Tom Latham isn't a bad option with the southpaw's ability to play spin well.
Batsmen: Virat Kohli and Kane Williamson are must-haves in any format and in any fantasy team. Along with them, the likes of Ross Taylor and Shikhar Dhawan could be useful options with Dhawan having a memorable series so far. Ambati Rayudu is also finding some form and could be a clever pick as well along with Rohit Sharma and Martin Guptill.
All-rounders: Colin Munro is due for a big one and with the series on the line, he could come good on a very good pitch to bat on. Along with him and Kedhar Jadhav, Hardik Pandya could make the cut depending on his availability.
Bowlers: Two out of India's fearsome quarter would make it with Kuldeep perhaps the front-runner with eight wickets in just two matches in this series. Lockie Ferguson has been the best of an underperforming New Zealand bowling unit and should be backed along with Trent Boult or Doug Bracewell.
Captain: Virat Kohli is set to leave the squad after this one-dayer and how better to do so other than to score a hundred! Virat along with Ross Taylor are useful options to choose as captain with the likes of Shikhar Dhawan and Colin Munro also amongst a heap of other options.
Fantasy Suggestion #1: MS Dhoni(WK), Virat Kohli, Kane Williamson, Shikhar Dhawan, Martin Guptill, Colin Munro, Kedhar Jadhav, Kuldeep Yadav, Bhuvaneshwar Kumar, Trent Boult and Lockie Ferguson. Captain: Virat Kohli.
Fantasy Suggestion #2: Tom Latham(WK), Virat Kohli, Kane Williamson, Ross Taylor, Ambati Rayudu, Rohit Sharma, Colin Munro, Yuzvendra Chahal, Mohammed Shami, Ish Sodhi and Lockie Ferguson. Captain: Ross Taylor
