IND vs WI Dream11 Tips: 3 players who could be valuable picks in your fantasy team

Having completed a mauling of Bangladesh in Tests, India returns to white-ball action with a three-match T20I series against West Indies. With less than a year to go for the ICC T20 World Cup, both teams will see this series as a starting point for the preparation of the multi-nation tournament in Australia.

India's performance in the shortest format in 2019 has been topsy-turvy. Virat Kohli's men started 2019 with a series loss to New Zealand and Australia. Post-World Cup, India beat West Indies comfortably but could manage to draw the series against the Proteas. In the last series against Bangladesh, India came back from 1-0 down to win the series 2-1.

With a lot of questions still unanswered, India will look to make the most out of the series against a Kieron Pollard-led West Indies. With many T20 stars in action, fantasy league lovers might have a hard time to pick their playing 11. Here are three players who could be valuable picks in the fantasy team.

#3 KL Rahul

KL Rahul has had a mixed year in International cricket. With a horrific show in whites, KL lost his opening slot to Mayank Agarwal who has more or less settled in it. But Rahul has managed to keep his place in ODI and T20 teams with some good showing in major tournaments like World Cup and IPL.

Just like how all good players do, Rahul has gone back to domestic cricket to get back to his confidence. With the talent that the 27-year old possess, he did it with ease as he helped his state team Karnataka lift the Vijay Hazare Trophy and Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.

An injury to Shikhar Dhawan would be a blessing in disguise for Rahul as he may get to play all the games and could stake claim a permanent place. The confident Karnataka batsman could score big runs and hence could be a handy pick in any fantasy side.

#2 Kieron Pollard

The chances of West Indies winning the series will depend hugely on their new limited-overs skipper Kieron Pollard. The Trinidadian's first assignment as the captain didn't go in his way as they lost a three-match T20I series to Afghanistan.

Pollard would be hoping to find a settled combination before they take the flight to Australia to defend their T20 World Cup crown next year. On a personal front, Pollard continues to be a force to reckon with the bat. It was his man of the match performance that helped the Windies to win the first T20I in their previous series.

The 32-year-old was among the runs when the two teams met earlier this year. He has also started bowling and hence might contribute with the ball as well. With him being a top-notch fielder, he comes up as a perfect three-dimensional player and contributes to the fantasy team in multiple ways.

#1 Shreyas Iyer

If there is one player whose success would make the team management happy the most, then it has to be the runs from the bat of Shreyas Iyer. India's long-standing No:4 conundrum seems to have come to a halt with Shreyas getting a long run at the slot.

The knocks he has played in the last few International series' has convinced many experts that he deserves a permanent spot in shorter formats. The ease with which the Mumbai batsman played in the slower tracks of West Indies was a treat to watch.

He continued it in the home series against Bangladesh. In the series decider, his stroke-filled 33-ball 62 propelled India's total to 174. His ability to rotate the strike and clear the boundary at will makes him a perfect candidate for the spot.

With him expected to score big, fantasy players should have him in their playing 11.
