With the return of Sarah Taylor, England start the series as the firm favourites, although India's recent form would suggest otherwise. Smriti Mandhana's form has been sky high with the south-paw topping the ICC Rankings in the ODI format.
Considering the overlying conditions at the Wankhede, a high-scoring match is on the cards with the promise of entertainment and lots of points on offer for fantasy players.
Squads to choose from:
Mithali Raj (C), Jhulan Goswami, Smriti Mandhana, Jemimah Rodrigues, Harmanpreet Kaur, Deepti Sharma, Taniya Bhatia, Ravi Kalpana, Mona Meshram, Ekta Bisht, Rajeshwari Gayakwad, Poonam Yadav, Shikha Pandey, Mansi Joshi, Punam Raut.
Tammy Beaumont, Katherine Brunt, Kate Cross, Sophia Dunkley Brown, Sophie Ecclestone, Georgia Elwiss, Alex Hartley, Amy Ellen Jones, Heather Knight (Captain), Laura Marsh, Natalie Sciver, Anya Shrubsole, Sarah Taylor, Lauren Winfield, Danielle Wyatt
Playing XI Updates:
Dayalan Hemalatha misses out, paving way for either Poonam Raut or Mona Meshram to stake a claim in the playing XI. The former is most likely to play as Harmanpreet Kaur is sidelined due to injury.
Smriti Mandhana and Jemimah Rodrigues are in supreme form and will be key to their fortunes. With the pitch going to favor spin as well, all eyes will be on Poonam Yadav, who could play a critical role in the match.
Possible XI: Mandhana, Jemimah, Raj(C), Deepthi, Raut, Meshram, Shikha, Taniya(WK), Jhulan, Poonam and Ekta.
England should field their strongest XI which sees a fearsome batting unit consisting of the likes of Sarah Taylor, Tammy Beaumont and Heather Knight. Dani Wyatt could slot in the side and play the enforcer's role at the time of requirement.
Sophie Eccelstone and Alex Hartley should handle the spin duties along with Heather Knight, while Anya Shrubsole will be hoping for an encore of her memorable performance in the ICC World Cup Final against the same opposition.
Possible XI: Jones, Beaumont, Sarah Taylor(WK), Knight(C), Sciver, Brunt, Wyatt, Hartley/Elwiss, Eccelstone, Shrubsole and Marsh.

Fantasy Tips and Suggestions:
Wicket-keeper: Sarah Taylor is one of the best women to have worn the dark blue of England. She is the ideal choice to have in the side with the other option, Taniya Bhatia batting too deep in the Indian order for any fantasy player's liking.
Batters: Smriti Mandhana and Heather Knight are must-haves in the fantasy side along with Amy Jones. Amy Jones' fast starts at the top of the order could be pivotal in upsetting the Indian bowling and could be complemented with the either of Jemimah Rodrigues or Indian captain, Mithali Raj.
All-rounders: Deepthi Sharma, Natalie Sciver and Katherine Brunt are the perfect set of players to have, with all three of them capable of influencing the game with their all-round abilities. While Deepthi and Sciver bat in the top six as well, Katherine Brunt is England's premier bowler and should pick a few wickets.
Bowlers: Poonam Yadav is India's best bet to disrupt the English batting unit and along with her, either of Laura Marsh or Sophie Eccelstone would be a great option. Jhulan Goswami and Ekta Bisht had a great tour of NZ and would also make handy options in the team.
Captain: Smriti Mandhana and Heather Knight are the front-runners for captaincy with their recent form and ability justifying the selection. Other options also include Deepthi Sharma and Natalie Sciver, whose all-round abilities could be pivotal in deciding the fate of the match.
