After a very successful tour of Australia which saw Team India win the ODI and Test series, they now travel to the beautiful country of New Zealand where they take on the likes of Kane Williamson and Trent Boult in what is set to be a cracker of a series.

The last time these two faced off in New Zealand, the home side trumped India but this time around with the visiting side having a potent bowling attack in their possession it is going to be very closely fought battle.

With the World Cup just around the corner, this series provides both teams with the chance to finalize their respective squads and churn out the best they possibly can at the showcase event. It should be an eventful match with Napier conditions presenting a bit of everything for everyone's liking.

Playing XI Updates:

New Zealand:

Tom Latham returns after given a rest for the Sri Lanka ODI series and should slot in at number 5, pushing Henry Nicholls to number six. The return of Colin de Grandhomme and Mitchell Santner also provide a different challenge with both of them fighting it out for one slot. The pace attack should see Boult, Southee and in-form, Ferguson pair up with Ish Sodhi, who has had a productive series against Sri Lanka.

Possible XI: Munro, Guptill, Williamson (C), Taylor, Latham(WK), Nicholls, Santner, Southee, Ferguson, Boult and Sodhi.

India:

After a brilliant chase by Dhoni and Jadhav, India would be tempted to continue with the same combination that played in Melbourne. This might not be the case with Kuldeep Yadav as he is not one to be left out for long. Yuzi Chahal's incredible six wicket haul makes him undroppable but with India's recent changes, that might not be case. Shubman Gill will have to wait for his much awaited debut with Dhoni and Jadhav doing well.

Possible XI: Rohit, Dhawan, Kohli(C), Dhoni(WK), Jadhav, Karthik, Shankar/Jadeja, Bhuvi, Kuldeep, Chahal and Shami.

Fantasy Tips and Suggestions:

Wicket-keeper: Both M S Dhoni and Tom Latham have been in good form. Dhoni put in a master-class in Melbourne as he took the game deep and guided India to a famous victory while Latham recently scored a century in the ongoing Super Smash T20 for the Canterbury Kings. Both of them are great options although Tom Latham could nick it with his ability to play spin well known.

Batsmen: Virat Kohli and Kane Williamson are must haves in any fantasy team while Ross Taylor has been among the best in the business since the start of 2018. His recent form should give him a spot in the fantasy team along with Shikhar Dhawan and Martin Guptill.

All-rounders: With uncertainty in the number seven spot for New Zealand, Kedhar Jadhav is the safer pick to go by with the diminutive batsman able to roll his arm for a couple of overs. Although Mitchell Santner should be able to get the nod, only Jadhav seems to be the ideal choice.

Bowlers: Bhuvaneshwar Kumar and Mohammed Shami were the standout bowlers for India in recently concluded ODI series. Shami has seemingly reserved his seat to the flight to the World Cup. Both of them along with the pace bowling duo of Tim Southee and Lockie Ferguson and Tim Southee would suffice. Ish Sodhi could also be drafted in for either of them but with the likes of Kohli and Dhoni adept at playing spin, it would be an ambitious pick.

Captain: After a forgetful series Down Under, Shikhar Dhawan would be raring to go all out to prove all the naysayers wrong. He is the ideal choice for captain along with usual suspects, Virat Kohli and Kane Williamson.

Fantasy Suggestion #1: Tom Latham(WK), Virat Kohli, Kane Williamson, Ross Taylor, Martin Guptill, Shikhar Dhawan, Kedhar Jadhav, Bhuvaneshwar Kumar, Mohammed Shami, Lockie Ferguson and Tim Southee. Captain: Shikhar Dhawan

Fantasy Suggestion #2: MS Dhoni(WK), Virat Kohli, Kane Williamson, Rohit Sharma, Ross Taylor, Colin Munro, Kedhar Jadhav, Bhuvaneshwar Kumar, Kuldeep Yadav, Lockie Ferguson and Tim Southee. Captain: Virat Kohli
