The Nigerian international was released from West Brom in May, following his goal-less campaign. He struggled for a first team place in his spells at Everton and West Brom, having never played more than 26 games in a season.

Anichebe has the physical presence to suit the physicality of the Premier League and even the Championship. He has scored 35 goals in his English league career, and should be worth a buy, given he’s out of contract.

Wolves and Hull City are rumored to be interested in the 28-year old, and he might just turn out to be a good buy.
