Once regarded as the future star of French football after amazing performances for Roma, the Frenchman was released by Milan, after a 5-season spell with the club. The 34-year still has a season or two left in him, and his goal against arch-rivals, Inter Milan was nominated for Puskas Award.
Mexes made 114 appearances at Milan and was a vital part of the team for 4-odd years before falling out of favour last season, where he made only 7 appearances.
Mexes can offer a lot of experience, and his presence at centre-back can prove to be valuable for many clubs.
