Liverpool displayed a dazzling attacking play to destroy Arsenal by four goals to nil. The pace of Liverpool's front three Firmino, Mane, and Salah was too much to deal with for the sloppy Gunners defence.
Roberto Firmino's header gave the Reds the lead from a Joe Gomez cross. Sadio Mane curled one in for the second goal. Mo Salah sprinted half the field after Arsenal lost possession from a corner kick and it was three for Liverpool. Daniel Sturridge piled more misery by scoring the fourth goal.
What was more humiliating for the Gunners was that despite being known for their attacking football they failed to register even a single shot on target against Liverpool. The scoreline would be have been different had Peter Cech not made so many stunning saves to keep Liverpool at bay.
Arsenal legend Thiery Herny said that after watching Arsenal's performance he felt like he wanted to leave Anfield.
