14 Goals and 10 Assists: Theo Walcott set to return for Manchester United tie

Arsenal could be handed a boost ahead of their important Premier League match against Manchester United with the news that Theo Walcott may be fit for the trip.

Walcott, 24, has missed 10 matches with an abdominal injury but has stepped up his training regime, meaning he could be fit for Sunday’s game at Old Trafford.

He had surgery in early-September on the stomach injury that was sustained over a long period of time until the warm-up against Stoke City, where he felt intense pain.

His injury was prolonged with a minor setback which means he’ll miss his 11th consecutive game against Borussia Dortmund tomorrow night, but could return to help Arsenal stretch a lead of 11 points over Man Utd.

Jack Wilshere and Kieran Gibbs have not travelled to Germany for the Gunners’ Champions League tie with Dortmund and are also both a doubt for Sunday.

Last season, Theo Walcott scored 14 goals, while he also created 38 chances, getting 10 assists.
