2018 World Cup: 3 wingers to watch out for

Argentina v Haiti - International Friendly

#2 Raheem Sterling

England Training Session and Press Conference
Raheem Sterling

Raheem Sterling is normally deployed in the wings for England in their line-up. He has got good pace and agility, is a good passer and is a shrewd campaigner. Sterling has also got the ability to shoot from long range, likes to drift inside from the wings and is good in one-on-one situations.

He was a crucial part of the Manchester City team which won the Premier League this season. Sterling has the ability and the pace to easily go past the defenders but lacks the calmness to score a goal in such situations. Having represented England in 38 matches and scoring 2 goals for them, Sterling will have to play a vital role in order for England to achieve success at the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

He will have to provide Harry Kane the perfect pass or cross for him to score from. The World Cup will be a good opportunity for Sterling to prove his critics wrong and showcase his abilities.
