There are not many strikers in Serie A that can claim to be at the same level as that of the Argentine superstar, Mauro Icardi. He joined Inter Milan from Sampdoria in 2013, and has scored 103 goals in 165 games for the Nerazzurri in Serie. He won the Serie A Golden Boot for the 2014-15 and 2017-18 seasons, and was also part of the Serie A Team of the Season in 2014-15.
The 25-year-old is a true penalty box poacher who is lethal in front of goal. He might not be the quickest of strikers, but he uses his strength brilliantly to bully defenders. Icardi is an accomplished set-piece taker, and does not shy away from taking responsibility during crucial stages.
Mauro Icardi was linked with a move to Real Madrid in the last summer transfer window, and we can expect him to be surrounded with speculations again in January if Real Madrid continue to struggle in front of goal.
