The former Real Madrid player and Real Madrid under-19 coach is currently working as an assistant manager for Turkish side, Beskitas.
Just like Zinedine Zidane, Guti knows everything about the Spanish side. He has good relations with the squad, and was one of the fan favourites to take the job after Zidane.
The 41-year-old switched to the Turkish side after he was denied the opportunity to manage the Real Madrid Castilla side. However, he is now being considered an emergency replacement for Julen Lopetegui in mid-season.
Rafa Benitez was having a similar time at the Bernabeu just like Lopetegui, however, after Zidane’s appointment as the head coach in mid-season, Real Madrid’s fortunes changed for good.
The same thing is being expected from Guti, and fans would love to have him as the new manager for the drowning Madrid side.
