Everybody knew that the flamboyant Swedish striker had a miserable final season at Manchester United. He arrived at the Old Trafford as one of the finest goalscorers on the planet but, his career had been plagued by a fatal injury that left him out for the most of 2017/18 season.

The Red Devils, however, did not want to wait while paid the Swede's huge weekly salary. Hence, they eventually came to an agreement with the 37 years old to terminate his remaining contract. This move has proven bad as Ibrahimovic is now resuming his goalscoring frenzy with LA Galaxy.

The former AC Milan striker has shown that he still has what it takes to play on Europe's highest level. He had scored a massive 22 league goals with 6 assists in just 27 appearances for the MLS side in 2018 season.

Perhaps Manchester United have been overconfident with Romelu Lukaku and, they have paid the price due to the Belgium star's inconsistency this season. The Red Devils seem to have regretted Ibra's move so dearly to the extent that they had been touted to bring Ibrahimovic back to Old Trafford in October.
