Andre Gomes was tipped to be the next big thing after he joined Barcelona from Valencia in 2016 for £33m. He was a solid first-team option whilst at Valencia at just 21-years-old, and this turned a great deal of heads at the time.
However, it's been a slippery slope for the Portuguese midfielder since then, and he's gradually been squeezed out of the Barcelona first-team to find himself either warming the bench or languishing in the reserves.
Where might Andre Gomes go?
According to The Mirror, Gomes was one of seven Barcelona players to be placed onto the transfer list this summer. It's clear that he's now an unwanted player at the club, so would do well to find football elsewhere before he's forced to spend another season in Spain.
The Premier League seems to be the most likely destination for Gomes this summer, with Arsenal the hot-favourites to land his signature before the window closes.
