Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham has been mooted as a possible option to replace Danny Ings at Southampton.

Blessed with pace and good finishing skills, Abraham has a knack for being in the right place at the right time. He is an excellent reader of the game like Danny Ings and is smart with his movement in the box. The London-born striker is also very good in the air and won 1.8 headers per game last season.

The 24-year-old has played 58 league games for Chelsea thus far, scoring 21 goals. He finished as the Blues' top goalscorer during the 2019-20 season and also helped the club win the UEFA Champions League last season.

Nevertheless, he has struggled for game-time since the arrival of Thomas Tuchel and managed to start just 10 league games last season. He could move away from Stamford Bridge for regular game-time in the coming weeks. Southampton are among the clubs who have been linked with him in recent weeks.

#3 Adam Armstrong ( Blackburn Rovers)

Adam Armstrong enjoyed a strong 2020-21 Championship season with Blackburn Rovers and is currently among the most sought after attackers in English football.

The Newcastle-born attacker is a highly technical and intelligent attacker, who always poses a threat in the final third. He scored 28 goals in the Championship last season, a mark bettered only by Brentford's Ivan Toney.

Armstrong's current contract with Blackburn expires at the end of next season. This means Rovers might look to cash in for him this summer as opposed to letting him leave for free next season.

Crystal Palace and Norwich City have also shown interest in him in recent weeks. So the Saints need to act faster in order to sign the former Newcastle United attacker.
