Liverpool signed Divock Origi from Lille for £10 million in the summer transfer window of 2014 after his impressive performances in the 2014 FIFA World Cup. However, he was immediately sent back on loan to his former club and was made to wait until the 2015-2016 season to make his first appearance for the Reds.

The Belgium international scored 10 goals in his debut season at Anfield, which were followed up by 11 in the next, however, inconsistency meant that Origi never nailed down a regular place in Liverpool's starting XI.

He was sent on loan to the Bundesliga club, VfL Wolfsburg to find some consistency but he failed to take the chance and scored only six goals in 31 Bundesliga games for the club.

The 23-year-old is yet to feature in a first-team game for the Reds this season and is definitely surplus to requirements at Liverpool.
