Defensively, Manchester United have certainly had a few issues this season. Although the arrival of Victor Lindelöf has turned out to be a very successful bit of business, there are still issues that need to be sorted in the back line.
In addition to this, Eric Bailly has only made 17 appearances in all competition this season for United. With him being out of favour, this leaves Phil Jones and Chris Smalling for United's central defensive options.
Harry Maguire would be the perfect candidate to move into this United squad, after showing his class whilst playing for Leicester, as well as on the international stage for England in the World Cup.
The 26-year-old has been linked with the Red Devils before, but a move has never come to fruition. If the Englishman was to make a successful move to Old Trafford this season, this could really bolster United's defensive options and prove for a more successful campaign next season.
