The young Spanish striker has all the attributes of being a good striker, but has been kept out of the squad mostly due to the exceptional bench strength Real Madrid possess and also due to Karim Benzema still being in the team.

Despite having a good time with the U-21 Spanish side where he scored 6 goals in just 6 appearances last season, he did not enjoy much time in La Liga where he made only 14 appearances for the Spanish giants, scoring on 3 occasions.

Given his skills and young age, Real Madrid might not sell him but they would surely like to loan him for a year or two.

Real Madrid, who are already lacking a top quality finisher, and with Icardi/Cavani on their radar, it is obvious that Mayoral won’t get much playing time in Real Madrid. He might be sold or loaned to any of the La Liga teams, so that they the player could develop and replace Karim Benzema when he hangs up his boots.
