The former Atletico Madrid man, who was signed during the previous summer transfer window, has not enjoyed much playing time and was called up only when Marcelo was injured or needed rest.

With Marcelo always being in a brilliant form, it is quite difficult for other players to impress in his position. Theo has anomalous pace but loses possession quite easily and his cross delivering skills are poor at times.

While having a defender as versatile as Nacho, who can play in almost any defensive position, it is obvious that Real Madrid would like to loan or sell Theo Hernandez, who failed to impress during his past season at the Spanish capital.

Reportedly, he is already being linked with Real Sociedad for a loan move so that the player can develop and return to the club when needed.

Theo Hernandez is young and strong and might be useful when Marcelo retires. As of now, he needs more development.
