Jan Oblak has established himself as one of the best goalkeepers in the world in recent years. He has been an integral part of Atletico Madrid and helped them establish themselves as a strong force in the Spanish League.

Atletico Madrid finished 2nd in La Liga this season behind Barcelona. In 37 league matches this season, he managed to keep 20 clean sheets, i.e. 54% of the matches. This is an amazing achievement in a highly competitive league like the Spanish top flight. He only conceded a mind-boggling 26 goals this season.

There have been reports that suggested that Oblak is keen to join United as he is a boyhood United fan. There is no doubt in his ability to replace De Gea. He would be a great asset to United in they managed to prise him away from Madrid.
