The thirteen-times UCL Champions and the thirty-three times LaLiga title winners, Real Madrid are going through an indifferent season at the moment. Though they have progressed to the knockout stages of the Champions League and still very much with a chance to win the Copa del Rey, the performances in the League and in general has drawn criticisms from all corners of the footballing world.

Real Madrid is third in LaLiga, eight points behind leaders, Barcelona with their manager, Santiago Solari very much the frontrunner to get sacked at the end of the season. Solari replaced Julen Lopetegui after the former Spain manager was shown the boot following a shambolic 5-1 defeat at the hands of arch-rivals, Barcelona.

Moreover, there were speculations of a rift between Solari and few other players which created a somewhat difficult ambience around the Santiago Bernabéu. Real sold their star player, Cristiano Ronaldo before the start of the current campaign which raised eyebrows about their ability to cope without the Portuguese forward.

Ronaldo had been the saviour for Madrid over the years scoring some crucial goals including winning three consecutive UCL titles for the Spanish giants and four in five seasons.

Though his departure has opened the doors for others to shine, none could have an impact like Cristiano. If Real fails to win any silverware this season, it could lead to a massive summer spending and few world-class players around Europe mostly from the Premier League could be seen wearing the famous white jersey next season.

Let's take a look at the three current Premier League players who could sign for Madrid in the summer.

#3 Christian Eriksen

Eriksen signed for Tottenham Hotspur from Ajax in 2013 at a transfer fee of around £12.15 million. The Danish International is the creative soul of the Spurs side and is a part of the fantastic four at Tottenham which also includes Harry Kane, Dele Alli, and Son Heung-min.

The attacking midfielder has been linked to Real Madrid recently with the Spanish giants reportedly interested in signing the Danish international following the uncertainty surrounding the future of Isco, Luka Modric and the loaned out star, James Rodriguez.

Eriksen's style of play could quickly get him straight into the Madrid's starting XI, and he could provide the creative impetus that Real lack at the moment.

#2 Harry Kane

Harry Kane is regarded among the elite strikers in world football, if not the best at the moment. Kane joined the Arsenal youth academy in his early days but got released for his lack of fitness. However, what was Arsenal's loss, proved to be Tottenham's gain.

The England International struggled in his initial days, but once he settled in, it was no looking back. Often a player fails to live up to the success and becomes a one season wonder, but Harry's consistency separates him from the rest. He could shoot from anywhere on the pitch and can score from even rarest of chances.

Despite finishing in the top four, Tottenham's lack of trophies is a worrying factor for the fans who could sense some of their star players leaving to play elsewhere in Europe. Harry is young and given his quality; he would be the perfect replacement for Karim Benzema at Real Madrid, who were speculated to be in the running to sign the talismanic forward.

#1 Eden Hazard

The Belgian signed for Chelsea in 2012, and since then, he has become an irreplaceable part of the side. Hazard is a magician down the left flank, who can move past any defender with the drop of a shoulder and create chances out of nowhere.

The two-time Premier League winner is among the few players who could win the Ballon d'Or in the future. After Ronaldo left Bernabeu in the summer, Real Madrid has been struggling to find a genuine goal scorer and a creator down the left-hand side. Vinícius has been used often this season, but he could not provide the quality which Hazard might bring to the team.

Moreover, given Chelsea's current position and the internal turmoil involving Maurizio Sarri and Hazard, it could force the Belgian to leave Stamford Bridge and join Madrid where he could become their leading player with Gareth Bale often sidelined due to injury.
