Arsenal showed the after-effects of a physically and emotionally draining week. A North London derby and a trip to Old Trafford are never easy to shake off instantly yet the Gunners found another gear when they required it most.

With the game meandering towards a dull draw, Arsenal, courtesy their big-name players started to make things happen. The likes of Torreira and Xhaka became more adventurous with their passing and movement and helped put the Terriers on the back foot.

The goal eventually came after some superb work by Guendouzi. The Frenchman played a sumptuous through ball to Aubameyang who brought it down marvellously before turning his man and laying the ball to Torreira.

Moreover, at the other end of the pitch, Sokratis stood up in the final minutes to help see the Gunners through.

For quite a while, Arsenal have been accused of lacking the stomach for a fight. Yet, the new Arsenal, Emery’s Arsenal have shown plenty of appetite for a dogfight.
