Liverpool put together some excellent performances in the last few years but the Reds failed to maintain the same level of consistency for a season long.

The Merseyside Reds don't compete against smaller teams with the same energy, intensity, and resiliency that they do against the big guns. They lost points against all three of the relegated teams last season, which was a major stumping block for them.
