Premier League 2018-19: 3 reasons why Mohamed Salah should stay at Liverpool even if Barcelona come calling

Egyptian hero and Liverpool's savior Mohamed Salah is enjoying another very productive season with the club. He is the central character of Liverpool's bid for the Premier League title; 13 goals scored and 7 assists for his teammates, in 20 league matches, give ample testimony of his contribution.

One of the main reasons why Liverpool have managed to rebound from their seemingly terminal decline is Salah's purchase. And with Salah performing like he is, vultures will inevitably try to steal him away from Liverpool.

It's almost impossible to stop these behemoths like Real Madrid and Barcelona, because possibly every player in the world wants to play for them. If they want you, they will get you.

But at the same time, Liverpool have been the beneficiary of Barcelona's lavishness in the past. Salah, Mane, Firmino, Van Dijk and Alisson are the fruits of Barca's generosity in spending money. The side effect is, of course, they can always take back their fruits.

Here is why I think Salah should reject offers from Real Madrid and Barcelona if they come calling, and instead stay in Liverpool.

#1 The opportunity to play under Jurgen Klopp

Jurgen Klopp - the best manager?

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is among the best in the world, and he significantly improves the players he coaches. You can ask Gotze, Hummels, Kagawa and countless others, and they will testify to that.

This is not to say Klopp makes Salah look better than he really is. Salah is a beast with or without Klopp. But the fact remains that he was not scoring the same amount of goals earlier; Klopp's heavy metal football mentality has vastly helped Salah and the other members of Liverpool's attacking trio.

Salah will not get this help in Barcelona and Real Madrid.

#2 Liverpool are actually good now

The Premier League is the most popular league in the world, and Liverpool are leading this league at the halfway point of the 2018-19 season. There is a great chance that they may win it this year, and they were also Champions League finalists last year.

Rivals are now looking up to this team. And Salah is scoring and assisting goals whenever he wants. There is no reason for him to ruin such a good thing that he's got going.

#3 Liverpool fans will support him in a way that few others can

Liverpool fans know how to celebrate, but more importantly, they know how to support their players. They will show up for their team in the good times as well as the bad times; you won't get that kind of loyalty at too many other places in the world.

Also, Champions League nights at Anfield are a thing of beauty. Salah wouldn't want to miss all of that by going any place else.
