#2 Frenkie de Jong (Barcelona)

Frenkie De Jong is a product of the famed Ajax academy, which is one of the finest in the world. Some of the world's greatest players of their generation were from Ajax and they had a great relationship with Barcelona over the years.
De Jong will move to the Nou Camp this summer as he signed a five-year deal, with Barcelona agreeing to pay €75m for his services. The 21-year-old Dutch midfielder garnered huge interest across Europe due to his wonderful displays and the Barcelona board had to fight with the likes of PSG and Manchester City to poach him.
It is very rare for a player of his age to show immaculate control and maturity on the ball, but De Jong is already touted to be the next big thing in Europe. Being a central midfielder, he has scored 6 goals and provided 10 assists for Ajax in almost 60 appearances.
With Ivan Rakitic not getting any younger and Arturo Vidal being a short term signing after the departure of Andres Iniesta, De Jong's signing will be beneficial and is a long term solution to Barcelona's midfield problems. Moreover, his style of play is similar to that of the Catalan giants which is why he will fit well into the Blaugrana squad. It is crystal clear why he is already a massive favourite in the Nou Camp already.
