The winger joined Madrid in 2013 where he firmly established himself as one of the finest attackers in the world. However, after seeing his game time reduced at the Santiago Bernabeu amidst injuries and fitness issues, the Welshman is reportedly determined to continue his career elsewhere.
'I was very disappointed to not be starting, I thought that I deserved to start,'
'I want to be playing every week. And if I can't do it at Real Madrid then I will have to do it elsewhere.'
'I just want to enjoy this moment and have a rest. Then I will sit down with everybody at a big table and see what my next move is.'
Having declared his intentions, Bale could be set for a return to the Premier League this summer. Manchester United are currently leading the race to sign him while Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur are also likely destinations.
