The German has failed to nail down a regular place in the PSG setup ever since his move from Wolfsburg in 2016. The one time wonder-kid of German football has endured frustrating campaigns with the Parisians which was made even worse by the signings of Neymar and Mbappe last summer.

The 24 year old has become a victim of circumstance, and with the reported interest from his former coach, he will do well to jump ship with the speed of light.
