Lazor Markovic was compared with Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo when he was signed for Liverpool for £20 million in the summer transfer window of 2014. However, he failed to achieve even one per cent of what the other two achieved in their respective careers and is currently the forgotten man at the club.
The Serbian international never found his feet at Anfield and played just 19 games, scoring two goals for the club. He was loaned out to Fenerbache in 2015 to revive his career but he failed to score a single goal in the 14 league games he played for the club.
He was loaned out to Sporting CP, Hull City, and Anderlecht as well but he failed to make the most of his opportunities at any of those clubs.
The 24-year-old is currently in the final year of his contract at the club and he is most likely to leave the club on a free transfer at the end of the current season.
