Solskjaer started his managerial career at Old Trafford on a positive note
#2 Winning the FA Cup
Van Gaal is the last Manchester United manager to lift the FA Cup
The FA Cup is the only realistic chance of Silverware for Manchester United this season. Solskjaer could be forgiven if he decides to prioritize the tournament in the second half of the season. Whether Manchester United have the personnel to fight on all front for the remainder of the season is a topic for an entirely different debate, but the nature of the FA Cup is such that there are no clear-cut favorites yet.

Solskjaer will be hoping that he will be ready for the big guns in the later stages of the FA Cup. For that, he will have to identify his best team, rotate his squad efficiently and make sure that his team is ruthless in front of goal. The fact that he will have a few more games under his belt before the tournament starts will do him a lot of good.
Manchester United last won the FA Cup in 2006, under Louis van Gaal, who was relieved of his duties after winning his first Silverware for the club. This time though, winning the FA Cup might just convince the Manchester United board to considered Solskjaer as a genuine contender.

Inspired by Diego Maradona, Deepungsu played as an attacking midfielder for his local club at subdivision level in his initial years and scored an important goal or two. However, his all-time favorite footballer is Lionel Messi, and evidently, he feels Argentina's glory in 2022 is his favorite FIFA World Cup moment for fulfilling his long-standing dream. He is also an ardent East Bengal fan.
Deepungsu has been a Manchester United supporter since the year 2000. Unsurprisingly, his favorite manager is Sir Alex Ferguson and the Scotsman helped him get through some of the toughest days of his life. Like the fiery Scot, Deepungsu also leaves no stone unturned when it comes to accuracy in articles and only relies on credible sources.
Despite believing in Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland to create an iconic rivalry, Deepungsu reckons no one can match the longevity of Messi and Ronaldo. He spends his leisure time writing about life on his blog, reading books, and playing the guitar.
