Lucas Leiva is known for being one of the most underrated performers of Liverpool for the past two decades. He represented Liverpool for ten years( from 2007 to 2017) raking up 346 appearances in all competition.

Prominently a hard-tackling defensive midfielder, Lucas was not very skillful or creative but his work rate and tactical intelligence made him one of the best holding midfielder in Premier League. His tacking ability also allowed different managers to use him as a makeshift central defender.
