Bergkamp started the scoring with a third-minute goal before Lee Carsley equalised for Everton in the 19th minute.

Tomasz Radzinski then gave Everton the lead in the 30th minute before Thiery Henry equalised at the 32nd minute to end the half 2-2

It was Henry again who scored in the 71st minute to give Arsenal a 3-2 lead after which Jeffers scored in the 82nd minute to make it 4-2.

Steve Watson pulled one back in the 88th minute to make 4-3, which eventually became the final scoreline helping Henry win the Golden Boot.
