Ramos has what it takes play long enough to become the most capped player in his country and in the world

One of the best defenders in the world at the moment, Sergio Ramos has been doing brilliantly for both club and country in the past couple of years.

Ramos is currently second in the most number of appearances for Spain with 151 appearances, scoring 13 goals.

He is 16 matches behind Iker Casillas but has much better chances of breaking Ahmed Hassan's record.

Casillas may need to play just 18 matches to become the most capped player in international football but it is highly unlikely that he will play many more matches for Spain due to the consistency of David de Gea.

However, Ramos has a very good chance of surpassing Ahmed Hassan. The 32-year old has a good four to five years of international football left in him.

There is no doubt that he will be Spain's most capped player before Euro 2020 is around the corner.

Provided Ramos maintains his fitness, then he can become the most capped player in the world as well.
