Jurgen Klopp is known to make smart signings in his managerial career and Georginio Wijnaldum has to be one of them. With his impressive performances at Newcastle United, the Dutchman was able to earn a move to Liverpool in the summer of 2016.

With Klopp's guidance and amazing management, Wijnaldum was able to become a fine box-to-box midfielder with the Reds. His high work-rate, impressive positioning and timely contributions in attack made him a valuable player for the German manager.

The Dutch midfielder played 237 matches under Klopp, winning the Premier League and UEFA Champions League in the process. It was surprising to see Wijnaldum leave Liverpool for Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2021.

#2 Marco Reus (Borussia Dortmund)

Marco Reus has been a very loyal servant to Borussia Dortmund. When Klopp managed the Black and Yellows, the German attacking midfielder was one of his finest players.

Although many of Klopp's best players left Dortmund, Reus stayed at the club and is still playing for them. With his intelligence, technical abilities and creative skills, the German midfielder was a delight to watch. He made 121 appearances under Klopp, scoring 53 times and registering 44 assists.

Injuries did hamper his game-time during that duration but his impact remained the same whenever he played. It is only unfortunate that Reus did not get the recognition like his other teammates did after moving to a bigger club.

#1 Jordan Henderson (Liverpool)

Klopp has always found success in improving the players at his disposal. With his arrival at Liverpool, it elevated the performance of Jordan Henderson.

The German manager's impact was so strong that it drastically improved the Englishman's game-play. It also played a big part in changing Henderson's personality and approach to the game. This eventually helped him become Liverpool's captain.

Under Klopp, the English midfielder has played 233 games so far. Henderson's wide range of passing from deep midfield and defensive contributions has helped Liverpool immensely. Klopp has shown a lot of faith in the 31-year-old and it is being repaid very well by Henderson time and again.
