Marcello Lippi remains the second highest paid football manager in the world grossing 18 million pounds a year. As the manager of the Chinese national team, Lippi has made a marked improvement in Chinese football and the Chinese FA appear to be impressed with his job.
China missed out on qualifying for the 2018 World Cup narrowly and prompted fears that Lippi may not see the end of his contract. However, Lippi and the FA confirmed he would stay there for the remainder of his contract.
