Hodgson managed close to two dozen teams in his career

Roy Hodgson is one of the longest-serving managers in football right now. He started his managerial career at Halmstads in 1976 and has managed more than 20 teams in 42 years as a manager. Apart from some success at Malmö, Hodgson so far failed to win a league trophy with any top teams. He also did not have much success with the national teams either.

He managed some of the biggest clubs like Inter Milan, Blackburn Rovers, Udinese, Liverpool. Also, Hodgson has managed national teams like Switzerland, Finland, England, and United Arab Emirates. He never managed to stay at a club for more than 4 years and has been sacked five times in his managerial career.

His first sack came in 1998 when Blackburn Rovers removed him from the manager job. He lost his job at Udinese in 2001 and was sacked by Finland in 2007 because of poor results. In 2010, Liverpool sacked him after just one season and in 2016, he was sacked from the role of England manager.
