One of Ireland's greatest ever footballers, Dennis Irwin began his career with Leeds in 1983 before a four-year spell at Oldham Athletic. Like Ferdinand, Irwin would go on to spend 12-years at Manchester United from 1990 till 2002 winning multiple honours in England and Europe.

A versatile footballer with two superb feet, Irwin could play in any position but was utilized as a full-back. A great set-piece taker and technical player, Irwin notched a number of goals during his time. In 2002, the Irishman joined Wolves and suffered relegation with the club, the season after the Wanderers were promoted.

Irwin retired from the game aged 38. He took up an ambassadorial role with Manchester United post-retirement and still continues to spread the love of the game around the world. The Irishman also works for the club as a pundit.
