There are a lot of footballers these days that are fans of rap music, nothing special given that most young wannabe gangstas of this age are also the same. However, the difference between footballers and these little wannabe OGs is that footballers have money – a lot of it – and can actually fund their way through to making songs.
This might seem like a thing today, but the trend of footballers doing music began a lot earlier and Chris Waddle and Glenn Hoddle were among the earliest exponents of it. These two are England football legends alright, but someone must have told them that they would be legends at whatever they do – and they took that way too seriously and made this mess of a music video as a result.
As you can see, the former England internationals are singing while a lady comes out of the darkness and does a little ballet around them. Watching this, I would say that people give this generation way too much stick for things that were actually inspired – and started – from the previous one.
