Jose Mourinho paid a hefty fee of €44 million to reunite with the former Chelsea midfielder, Nemanja Matic at Manchester United.
The Belgium international is among the top defensive midfielders in the league, and played a vital role in United's second place finish last season. He won 60 percent of tackles and made 317 recoveries during the 2017-18 season. He works as a link between United's defence and attack, and completed 72.25 passes per game last season.
Before moving to United, Matic was an important cog in the wheel of Chelsea's well-oiled juggernaut, which helped them win two Premier League trophies along with the EFL Cup during his time at Stamford Bridge. He also won the FA Cup 2010 with the Blues during his first spell at the club.
