There's never been a dull moment in the Premier League and the players have always caught the eye for either good reasons or bad ones. The English top flight has seen unbelievable goals, goal celebrations and crazy antics on the pitch which have gone to the extent of fanboys and ballboys getting bullied or even physically assaulted.

The following slideshow includes 5 of these incidents from the Premier League which will be talked about for a long time.

Eric Cantona's kung-fu kick on a fan was one moment of madness which shocked football. Crystal Palace fan Matthew Simmons was abusing Cantona's mother and as soon as Cantona heard it, he launched his fierce kick right into the ribs of the fan.

"My best moment? I have a lot of good moments but the one I prefer is when I kicked the hooligan." Cantona said on the kung-fu kick. Cantona was banned for 9 months from football which was one of the longest bans in the league's history.

"When the seagulls follow the trawler, it's because they think sardines will be thrown into the sea," Cantona said in a press conference post the incident.

#4 Peter Enckelman's own goal

This has to be one of the most shocking own-goals in Premier League's history. The ball rolled under the boot of the former Aston Villa goalkeeper Peter Enckelman after Mellberg's throw-in pass.

"I took a lot and it was scary how many mentions there were of that game, what I have learned is that it isn't the person that people hate, it's the goalkeeper," Enckelman said in an interview to The Times.

After the own-goal, one Aston Villa even tried to assault Enckleman and the player did his best to avoid a fight. "I just told myself to not move or do anything. If I had physically done something, I was at the wrong end of the stadium to get to the dressing room." Enckleman further added.

#3 Darren Bent's 'Beachball' goal vs Liverpool

Darren Bent's shot which deflected off a beach ball and hit the back of the net against Liverpool was one of the most bizarre moments in the history of Premier League. It shocked everyone who was present in the stadium and the referee considered it a legitimate goal even though it should not have counted.

Mike Jones was the referee in that match and Sunderland went on to win the match 1-0. Former Premier League referee Jeff Winter said, "I'm absolutely amazed. It is basic law in football. The goal should just not have stood. The laws of the game state that if there's an outside interference the game has to be stopped."

"Talk about an outside influence - the ball went in off the beach ball and completely deceived the Liverpool goalkeeper. I am absolutely amazed that for a referee at that level of football, that between him, his assistant, the fourth official, they didn't see what had happened and give the correct decision."

#2 Jimmy Bullard's celebration against Man City

Jimmy Bullard's celebration will go down as one of the greatest goal celebrations in the history of football, not just the Premier League. Jimmy Bullard recreated Phil Brown's famous on-field team-talk after scoring a penalty against Manchester City.

It is so hilarious that it still manages to crack everyone up. Jimmy Bullard was quite a character. Phil Brown said this in the post-match interview, "It was a fantastic celebration. Great comedy is about timing. You could not have had a celebration like that, after a goal, unless it was at Eastlands and was in the goal in front of the Hull fans. The whole thing was timed to perfection."

He added, "I had no idea it was going to happen. I was trying to arrange a five-man midfield at the time so I didn't see it. But my analysis guy showed me it on the laptop when we got into the changing room. I couldn't deliver my address because I was laughing so much."

#1 Suarez snubs Evra's handshake

This particular incident garnered a lot of attention when Liverpool's Luis Suarez refused to shake hands with Manchester United's Patrice Evra. The backdrop of the story is the racial abuse incident involving Luis Suarez with Patrice Evra earlier in the season when Suarez got banned for 8 games.

"I have spoken with the manager since the game at Old Trafford and I realise I got things wrong," Suarez said after a few days. "I've not only let him down, but also the club and what it stands for and I'm sorry. I made a mistake and I regret what happened. I should have shaken Patrice Evra's hand before the game and I want to apologise for my actions. I would like to put this whole issue behind me and concentrate on playing football."
