What a fabulous return it has been for Alvaro Morata at Juventus this season!

After heading back to Real Madrid in 2016 following two successful years in Turin, the Spaniard endured underwhelming spells at Chelsea and Atletico Madrid, which paved the way for another stint with the Bianconeri.

Since rejoining on loan at the start of the season, Morata has scored 13 goals and made ten assists in 23 games in all competitions, making him one of the best signings of the season.

Seven of those assists have come in the Serie, with four of them coming for his teammate Cristiano Ronaldo, with whom he has forged a deadly partnership this season.

#T1 Henrikh Mkhitaryan (AS Roma) - 8 assists

After struggling in the Premier League with two different teams, Henrikh Mkhitaryan has rediscovered his best form with AS Roma in the Serie A.

His impressive loan spell during the 2019-20 season convinced the Giallorossi to sign him permanently last summer. The Armenian has only continued in the same vein since arriving in the Serie A.

With nine goals in the Serie A this season, Mkhitaryan is the most prolific player in Paulo Fonseca's squad, while his tally of eight top-flight assists is the joint-best in the division.

A versatile player capable of playing in many positions and possessing an incredible set-piece prowess, the 32-year old has been a valuable addition to the Rome outfit.

#T1 Hakan Calhanoglu (AC Milan) - 8 assists

Hakan Calhanoglu may be underrated, but he remains one of the best playmakers in the world.

Often likened to a prime Mesut Ozil for his technique and creative skills, the Turkish wizard is AC Milan's chance-generating machine, feeding his attackers with delicious crosses and sublime passes.

In the Serie A this season, he has racked up eight assists, the same as that of Mkhitaryan. However, the former Bayer Leverkusen man has managed these numbers in fewer games than Mkhitaryan.

Calhanoglu's incredible free-kick prowess, which shot him to fame in the Bundesliga, may be on the wane. But he has more than made up for it with his creativity, helping Milan to the Serie A summit.
