Liverpool is having a dream season in 2017/18. They have booked a place in the final of UEFA Champions League against the mighty Real Madrid. No matter what is the outcome of the game, they have won all the hearts with their style of football.

A place in the Champions League final assures a hefty sum of reward for an English team because of the broadcasting pool split which is maximum for them. Therefore, the Anfield club would be posting higher revenue for the next quarter.

Moreover, the club would be inclined to entrust Jurgen Klopp with more funds to improve the squad and make the final tweaks needed in the defence and midfield to challenge for bigger things in 2018/19.

That said, here are the player who can join the Red army this summer.


#5 Max Meyer (Schalke 04)

Meyer is yet another youngster in Bundesliga who could be leaving their clubs for an elite one. The 22-year-old has shown some quality playing for Schalke and caught the attention of many big clubs.

The German is a sublime holder and passer of the ball, his game reading and ball interceptions skills are commendable.

He would be a free agent this summer. He can be deployed anywhere in the central midfield and a player to watch out for in the near future.

The player has made 28 appearances this season, so far and impressed with his maturity. He can be an ideal replacement to Emre Can at the club, whose future is in the air as he would be running down his contract at the club.

Liverpool has been linked with the player ahead of the summer. However, they would be facing much competition from other top clubs for the player's signatures.

#4 Ruben Neves (Wolverhampton Wanderers)

A name not known by many, Ruben Neves is one of the brightest players in the second tier of English football. He arrived as the club's record signing and lived to the expectations of all.

The 21-year-old has caught the attention of Anfield giants ahead of this summer. In his 40 appearances this season, he has scored six goals playing in the central midfield.

The Portuguese is a sensational passer of the ball. His through balls are heavenly to watch and he is a brilliant free-kick taker. Also, the player fancies his chances from occasional 30-yard volleys.

He would be a great asset to have on the team and replace the few undependable names on the Liverpool bench for now.

With the Premier League football up their sleeves, Wolves would be reluctant to sell the player.

However, Klopp should be keen to mentor the youngster who appears to have immense potential.

Jorginho is one of the most talked players in the business at the moment. Because of his stellar performances in 2017/18, the Napoli midfielder is a top target for a lot of clubs ahead of the summer.

The Italian has made 36 appearances in all competitions this season so far and chipped in with four goals and four assists.

He possesses the ability to by-pass the opposing defences through his accurate balls over the top. His agent has been very vocal regarding the player's future and clearly stated the interest from Manchester clubs.

Liverpool are among a lot of clubs reported to be competing for him. In him, Klopp would get a great midfield upgrade over the likes of James Milner or Emre Can. Either of the players are not a long-term option for Klopp.

The 26-year-old, however, wouldn't come for anything cheap.

Dani Ceballos was a part of the Spanish side which won the UEFA European U-21 Championship in 2017. The midfielder was named as the Player of the Tournament. No sooner the tournament ended, Real roped in the youngster from Real Betis.

The Spaniard has just two league starts to his name since joining the Spanish Champions. Some reports earlier also talked about a clash between the player and the manager over lack of minutes.

The 21-year-old was a subject of strong interest from Liverpool in January but Los Blancos were not willing to sell the player. If Ceballos pushes for a move, there would be a lot more interest from across Europe.

He can add more substance to an average Liverpool midfield with his trickery and ball control.

The midfielder in his young career has exhibited some remarkable hold-up play and dribbling skills on the ball. At such young age, he looks promising enough and would be a quality addition to any team.

Alisson Becker is a name which needs absolutely no introduction at the moment. The Roma number #1 has been in sensational form this season.

The Brazilian goalkeeper has kept 15 clean sheets for the club in his 34 appearances this season. Liverpool tried to sign the player in January and reportedly had a bid rejected by the Italian side.

He has been an absolute wall in Roma's defence and appeared to be unbeatable often. His form has been crucial to their progress in Champions League this season.

Liverpool direly needs a goalkeeper this summer and Becker fits the bill. He is an immediate solution to their woes between the sticks.

Klopp could pursue the player with all his might in the summer. He would be an ideal signing for Liverpool FC.
