5 players who could still join Real Madrid this month

Real Madrid v Atletico Madrid - UEFA Super Cup
Lopetegui may be looking for at least one more signing

#2 Rodrigo (Valencia)

Valencia CF v Club Atletico de Madrid - La Liga
Rodrigo went to the World Cup with Spain

Rodrigo may not be the big name that Real fans are begging for, but he is certainly a man who has impressed manager Julen Lopetegui. The striker scored 16 league goals for Valencia last season, which earned him a place in Lopetegui’s Spain World Cup squad, and he may have played a big part at the tournament, had his manager not been sacked days before it got underway.

Valencia have made it clear that they don’t want to sell Rodrigo this summer, and Real will have to activate his £107 million release clause if they are to sign him. However good a season he had last season, Real shouldn’t pay that much for the 27-year-old. Prior to last season, his goal record was average at best. In his previous three seasons in Spain, he scored just ten goals. He may be a decent squad player, but he definitely isn’t worth £107 million.
