5 Possible Replacements For Zinedine Zidane

Borussia Dortmund Celebrates Winning The DFB Cup 2017
Tuchel was unlucky to lose his job as Borussia Dortmund coach

#4 Luis Enrique

Deportivo Alaves vs Barcelona - Copa Del Rey Final
Enrique is a popular figure at both Real Madrid and Barcelona

This would be a slightly controversial move as Enrique had managed Barcelona to great success over the past 3 seasons. Numerous players have played for both Real Madrid and Barcelona but only 2 managers have ever managed both sides (Radomir Antic and Enrique Fernandez Viola).

The fact that Enrique famously played for both teams in the 1990's, enjoying a distinguished career at both, and this would work in his favour should Madrid come calling for his services now.

What should matter is not the past of the person but who is the right manager for the team and Enrique proved himself to be one of Europe's best managers in recent years. He guided Barcelona to the league title in 2015 and 2016, in addition to winning the Champions League title in 2015.

He had quarrels with players like Lionel Messi at the Camp Nou, showing he's not a manager afraid to take on star players when he feels it's needed, something which would be useful at Madrid.

He also put his team out in a number of different formations and styles during his tenure and this inconsistent Madrid side could use some flexibility in their approach. Enrique stated that he was taking a break after the pressures of the Barcelona job. If Zidane were to lose his job, however, one of the biggest managerial roles in football could prove just too enticing.
