5 reasons why Arsenal won't be recovering anytime soon

Wenger's days at Arsenal could finally be numbered.

#3 Defensive chaos

<p>
Arsenal's defence is the leakiest of the Premier League's top seven at the moment.

The current Arsenal team boasts an attack which on their day can rip the finest of the defences apart. But then, only Arsenal are the team which carries the potential to blow up even its 5-0 half-time lead easily.

Such is the chaotic state of their defence that they cannot bank on a comfortable lead let alone taking a one goal cushion over the line. Sir Alex Ferguson had once said that, "Attack wins you games, defence wins you titles". Rightly said. Wenger's men have conceded 36 goals in the league alone so far.

They have already conceded goals at the rate of 1.33 goals per match. Arsenal have made 11 errors leading to goals and their tackling success is 69% this season in the league.

Burnley FC sit only behind Arsenal, they do not have the attack to match the elites of England but have shackled the creativity of the so-called "Big Six", time and time again. Sean Dyche's men have conceded eleven fewer goals than Arsenal this season at 0.89 goals per match.

Their goalkeeping department has let them down on multiple occasions. Peter Cech is no where near his best and commits errors often and is the area which needs recruitment for the club in the summer.

The point being made is that Arsenal need to revamp their defence completely. A team which has not been built from the back, fails to win anything in the foreseeable future.
