His first five games were dismissed as easy; Manchester United was expected to win those games. Solskjaer's first test came at Tottenham, against the genius of a man rumoured to be the front runner for the permanent job at Manchester United. Mauricio Pochettino was expected to take over at Old Trafford in the summer, however, Solskjaer did his opponent no favours on the night.

United's win over Spurs, at their background, was a tactical masterclass from Solskjaer, who kept his fullbacks compact and used the speed in his team to mount a counter-attacking brand of football reminiscent of the Old Manchester United. It was the first time the Norwegian's tactical abilities came to the fore at United.
Instantly, he had overtaken the Argentinean as the front runner for the job. However, a seemingly bigger test awaited against Arsenal, in the FA Cup, at the Emirates. Once again, Solskjaer showed signs of a brilliant footballing brain, masterminding another impressive win. He used Arsenal's attacking football as an opportunity, exploiting the spaces left behind and capitalizing on the counter-attack.
The Norwegian has displayed a great understanding of the tactical side of the game so far, however, biggest tests await him, especially in the Champions League. But by the look of things, Solskjaer has the qualities to succeed in the long run.

Inspired by Diego Maradona, Deepungsu played as an attacking midfielder for his local club at subdivision level in his initial years and scored an important goal or two. However, his all-time favorite footballer is Lionel Messi, and evidently, he feels Argentina's glory in 2022 is his favorite FIFA World Cup moment for fulfilling his long-standing dream. He is also an ardent East Bengal fan.
Deepungsu has been a Manchester United supporter since the year 2000. Unsurprisingly, his favorite manager is Sir Alex Ferguson and the Scotsman helped him get through some of the toughest days of his life. Like the fiery Scot, Deepungsu also leaves no stone unturned when it comes to accuracy in articles and only relies on credible sources.
Despite believing in Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland to create an iconic rivalry, Deepungsu reckons no one can match the longevity of Messi and Ronaldo. He spends his leisure time writing about life on his blog, reading books, and playing the guitar.
