Sevilla v FC Barcelona - Copa del Rey Quarter Final
The Brazilian could cost Manchester United around £100m and as of now, it does not look like a wise investment. Coutinho is already 26 years old now and will be 27 by the time the transfer window opens. As such, there is very little return on investment opportunities for such an astronomical amount of money.

The Brazilian is a very good player, but he is not the superstar that the United marketing would be able to bank on. The Red Devils are already paying the price for a poorly planned transfer of another South American - Alexis Sanchez. Coutinho could demand similar wages and there is another risk of a transfer strategy going wrong.
But perhaps the biggest problem with the transfer is the quality that Manchester United would be getting for such a huge amount of money. The Brazilian will not score bucket loads of goals and as such, United could have a hard time justifying the transfer.

Inspired by Diego Maradona, Deepungsu played as an attacking midfielder for his local club at subdivision level in his initial years and scored an important goal or two. However, his all-time favorite footballer is Lionel Messi, and evidently, he feels Argentina's glory in 2022 is his favorite FIFA World Cup moment for fulfilling his long-standing dream. He is also an ardent East Bengal fan.
Deepungsu has been a Manchester United supporter since the year 2000. Unsurprisingly, his favorite manager is Sir Alex Ferguson and the Scotsman helped him get through some of the toughest days of his life. Like the fiery Scot, Deepungsu also leaves no stone unturned when it comes to accuracy in articles and only relies on credible sources.
Despite believing in Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland to create an iconic rivalry, Deepungsu reckons no one can match the longevity of Messi and Ronaldo. He spends his leisure time writing about life on his blog, reading books, and playing the guitar.
