Since football is a team sport and can't be played alone, thus the squad also needs to be improved. The current Argentina squad is a good one and contains a lot of youth players. These players possess not much experience but will gain much till 2022. Someone like Dybala was not given enough play time in the 2018 WC. One of the best box strikers in the world, Icardi, was not even the part of the team. Even their best goalkeeper, Sergio Romero, didn't play in the competition. Thus, a better team is expected and has to be made for the next and last chance for Messi in his support.

Though, he has won 5 Balon d'Ors and 5 Golden Boots and now he doesn't need to prove anything to anyone now, but still without a World Cup, career in a sport for the living legend is imperfect. Hence, winning the trophy will complete his career and will give him a soothing and more comfortable retirement from the sport.
