The Ballon d'Or is the most prestigious trophy a footballer can win individually. Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi have won five Ballon d'Ors apiece and have dominated in the last ten years; the last player apart from Messi and Ronaldo to win it is Kaka, in 2007.
