Cristiano Ronaldo was the prince of Manchester, but eventually became the king of Madrid
It is sincerely absurd that the Premier League, despite all the reputation, lost one of the greatest footballers of all time to the La Liga champions. The failure to keep Ronaldo in the Premier League will hurt the division for many years to come.

Cristiano Ronaldo is arguably the greatest player in the history of the English Premier League. The four-time Ballon d'Or winner is the only player to have made England proud at the highest level, and won his first Ballon d'Or while playing in England, when he claimed the prestigious award in 2008 while playing for Manchester United.
He also won the UEFA Champions League, Premier League, FA Cup, Carling Cup and other trophies for the Red Devils.
But unfortunately, like the other superstars, Ronaldo left the EPL for Real Madrid in July 2009 for a reported fee of £80 million.

Barcelona philosophy and approach towards the game under Pep Guardiola further fueled the burgeoning love for the sport, and he has been a Culer ever since.
Unsurprisingly, Lionel Messi is his favorite player and is the one true GOAT for him over Cristiano Ronaldo. The 2022 FIFA World Cup final, where Messi's brace led to La Albiceleste lifting the cup left a lasting impact on him.
