Liverpool are set to lose Coutinho

The Merseyside outfit are in somewhat of a quagmire right now. As if having a depleted defence and weak midfield weren't enough, they are set to lose their best player, Philippe Coutinho, as the former Inter man handed in a transfer request in a bid to force a move to Barcelona.

This leaves them in a quandary as they now lack a player with the creativity and decisiveness of the Brazilian. Given that Coutinho attacked from the left last season, Asensio seems to be the perfect fit as the former Espanyol player has played most of his games there.

Also, in Klopp’s gung-ho footballing approach, Asensio’s skills would be a perfect fit given that he is a very clever passer of the ball while also being very quick on the counter.
